We're ba-ack!

ok, so its been well over a year since my last entry. The reason is that it got to hard to upload photos because I changed software, and so after many attempts, I gave up.
BUT, last night Nick came to dinner, and in about 2 minutes managed to fix the whole thing for me! So we shall start again yes?
In the last post, I mentioned that we had just found out another baby was one the way. that baby is now 7 months old, and his name is Matthew Alan Shannon. He was born at 12.15am on 18th January 2005, which is cool because he shares a birthday with his Grandad :)
Matts birth was even worse than Jasons *shudder*, close your eyes if you dont want a brief overview...
Water broke at 7.00pm in the evening, and by the time I got to the hospital an hour and a half later i was screaming and wishing i was dead!! Then more screamng, more wishing I was dead, which was completly reasonable because my contractions were hypertonic and i dilated 7 cm in less than an hour. Plus, no pain killers other than gas, but the gas helps quite a bit :) Yay! Yay for gas!! Then the Dr.s tried to talk me into delivering normally, but i insisted on my c-section. I told them it was because I wanted my tubes tied (which was true) but the main reason was I couldnt take anymore, and I knew if I was going to have a c-section they would give me an epidural. Then the epidural kicked in, and I was completely removed from the whole process but just felt overwhelming sadness. During the contractions I sucked hard on the gas and while out of it I thought it was over, then the pain would come back and I would think it was never going to end. it was horrible, no wonder I felt sad :(
We had to wait a while before a surgon arrived, and Chris told me that it got a bit tense and the Dr.s were getting nervous, but then he arrived and they got to work. it took AGES, not nice and quick like it was with J. Eventually Matty came out, peeing as he went hehehe, but we didnt get to see him because his APGAR was only four so he was rushed to the neo-natal unit. Both Chris and i freaked out a little at that point. Luckily he came right and was only there for an hour. After the whole process, while waiting for Matty, the surgon came and told us why the c-section took so long. She started by telling us that it was very lucky that we insisted on the c-section because when they opened me my uterus was streached so thin they could see matty through it, and it was peppered with holes. Then before they could cut Matty out he just burst right through. So THAT explains why my contractions were so much worse than with Jase. The stress of the previous c-section, plus the hypertonic contractions along with the rapid labour just put my uterus in to much stress and it just broke. So now i have had a 33 hour labour and a 3 hour labour. Both suck, but the 3 hour one is MUCH MUCH worse!!!!
So much for brief overview, lol.
Anyway Mattys safe and well, and I'm all better, and now we have TWO perfect boys!!!! Its lucky we never wanted a girl aye?
Chris wants the computer now, and it will take me a while to pick all the new photos of Matty I want to upload, so I will go now. Sorry about the grusome story, and the poor spelling, but it will all be worth it when you see the photos of Matt, and see how much Jase has grown :)
